The person behind the practice

Hi, I'm Saritha.

I spent a career helping organizations navigate complexity. Then I discovered that transformation does not begin when people receive more information. It begins when they find meaning.

That discovery became the thread connecting my work in technology, leadership, psychology, coaching and storytelling—and ultimately became StoryQuotient.

01
From engineer to enterprise leader
A career built around making complexity useful.

My professional story began in technology. Trained as an Electronics and Telecommunications Engineer, I started in academics before moving into the fast-changing world of telecom and enterprise solutions.

Across Nokia, Siemens and almost fifteen years at Oracle, I worked at the intersection of technology, consulting, customer success and leadership. I helped teams understand complex solutions, supported strategic opportunities across regions and learned how to earn trust in rooms where the stakes—and the expectations—were high.

For more than 25 years, my work was about solving business problems. But beneath every proposal, transformation and customer conversation, I began to notice another challenge: a good idea is not enough. People must be able to see it, feel it and find their place within it.

02
From information to influence
The leaders people followed were the leaders who could create meaning.

The most influential people were not always those with the most data or the longest presentation. They were the ones who could turn complexity into clarity, connect an idea to a human need and help others imagine what could be possible.

That observation changed the way I communicated—and eventually changed the direction of my life. I began studying storytelling not simply as an art, but as a human technology: a meeting point between attention, emotion, memory, behavioural psychology and action.

“People rarely remember the facts. They remember the story that helped the facts mean something.”

03
Turning experience into expertise
I went back to being a student of the work.

Toastmasters gave me a stage on which to practise, experiment and grow. Since joining in 2014, the journey has taken me to Distinguished Toastmaster—and taught me that a voice becomes powerful through intention, feedback and use.

I deepened that practice through the six-month Mastering Storytelling for Leadership Communication and Influence programme at IIM Calcutta, alongside studies in business psychology and coaching. The science gave language to what years of leadership had shown me in practice: people move when a message feels clear, relevant and deeply human.

Today, I bring those worlds together—enterprise experience, story science, narrative craft, behavioural insight and coaching—to create learning that works beyond the workshop room.

The birth of StoryQuotient

A place where the science of storytelling meets the art of
human connection.

StoryQuotient was created from a simple belief: storytelling is not a gift reserved for a charismatic few. It is a learnable leadership skill—and everyone has stories worth shaping and sharing.

Through keynotes, workshops, narrative labs and coaching, I help leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, educators and aspiring speakers find the story inside their experience, shape it around a purpose and deliver it with authenticity.

The goal is never performance for its own sake. It is communication that changes minds, moves hearts and inspires action.
